This series are general purpose 2 way 2 position (2/2-way) solenoid valves. They have brass body and NBR sealing. The solenoid valves are Normally closed type, namely, the solenoid valve is open when energized and it is closed when de-energized. The solenoid valve is energized by 12V DC. In addition, it also has 24V DC or 220V DC for choice. This series of solenoid valve features a wide range of port sizes: 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", etc., to meet different sizes of the pipelines. Low cost 2/2-way water solenoid valve has good medium compatibility, high reliability, long service life.

According to the different switching states, it can be divided into normally closed solenoid valve and normally open solenoid valve.
1. Normally closed solenoid valve working principle
Normally, the movable iron core of solenoid valve seals the auxiliary valve port, the pressure in the valve chamber is balanced, and the auxiliary valve and the main valve port are closed.
When the coil is energized, electromagnetic force is generated to suck up the movable iron core, thus the auxiliary valve is opened. The medium in the main valve chamber is externally exposed from pilot port, resulting in pressure difference between the top and bottom of the main valve cup. Then the diaphragm or valve cup is quickly lifted to the main valve port, and the valve is in opening state.
When the coil is de-energized, the magnetic field disappears, the movable iron core is reset, and the auxiliary valve port is closed. Then the pressure in the auxiliary valve and the main valve cup rises, and the main valve cup is pressed against the seat, and the valve is closed again.
2. Normally open solenoid valve working principle
When the coil is energized, the magnetic force is produced, the armature moves down under the action of the magnetic force, to push the sub-valve cup downward, and the auxiliary valve is closed. With the pressure difference between the top and bottom of the main valve cup tends to be equal, the main valve cup moves to the sealing surface, and the valve closes.
When the coil is de-energized, the magnetic force is zero. The armature rises due to the spring action,and the auxiliary valve opens. The medium in the main valve valve cup flows away through the auxiliary valve, and the pressure drops. When the pressure drops to a certain value, the main valve cup is raised upwards by the pressure difference between the upper and lower sides, and the main valve is opened. The solenoid valve is opened now.
