2/2-Way Solenoid Valve for Pump Air Exhaust
Micro vacuum pump is a compact instrument with one suction nozzle and one exhaust nozzle, which can continuously form vacuum or negative pressure at the inlet and form micro-positive pressure at the exhaust nozzle with the working medium of gas. Just because the pump can form a pressure difference with the outside atmosphere at the suction port or the suction outlet, and unlike large vacuum pumps which need lubricating oil and vacuum pump oil, the micro vacuum pump will not pollute the working medium. Moreover, due to its advantages of compact size, low noise, maintenance-free, and continuous operation for 24 hours, the micro vacuum pump is widely used as the power plant in the gas sampling, gas cycle, vacuum adsorption, accelerated filtration, vehicle vacuum help and the fields of medical, health, scientific research and environment protection.
In practice, customers often need to change the direction of air flow in the pipeline. For example, the customer may hope to realize suction and exhaust alternately in one pipe. Actually, it’s easy to complete in a positive pressure pipeline system, only one two-position four-way solenoid valve can realize the function.
However, all the two-position four-way solenoid valves available on the market can’t work normally in the vacuum pipeline. How to solve it? In fact, some users have used the combination of four 2/2-way solenoid valves (one of them is the air circuit on-off switch) to realize the function of the two-position four-way solenoid valve. The pipeline connection is shown in the Figure below.
On the first state, open valve 1 and valve 3, and close valve 2 and valve 4. See the Figure below.
At this time, A and B are connected, and C and D are connected. Supposing that A connects to the pump outlet and C connects to the pump outlet. At this point, the B end is in the sucking, and the D end is in the exhausting. The red pipeline in the picture is partially inaccessible due to valve control.
On the second state, close valve 1 and valve 3, and open valve 2 and valve 4. See the Figure below.
At this time, A and D are connected, and C and B are connected. Then B end is in the exhausting , and the D end is in the sucking. Meanwhile, the red pipeline in the picture is partially inaccessible due to valve control.
By comparing the two states, it can be seen that the combination of four 2/2-way (2-position 2-way) solenoid valves completes the switch of the exhaust port and suction port of the micro vacuum pump.
Frequently used occasions are quick release after the micro vacuum pump is attracted; the air circuit is required to switch a direction at different times.
