3/2-Way NC Solenoid Valve for Pneumatic Control Valve
Solenoid valves are widely used in industrial production and petrochemical industry. It is particularly common and important in the industry. Solenoid valves can be used for switch control of water, air, steam and other media. It is an indispensable executive component of safety interlocking protection system (three-way, four-way, five-way). The following is the application of 3/2-way normally closled (NC) solenoid valve used with pneumatic control valve in the industrial production.
In order to avoid failure of actions (fault safety) of the solenoid valve upon interlocking caused by power source faults, the solenoid valve is usually at a normally-closed (NC) state. To be specific, there is power connection when it is normal, and the power disconnects when the interlocking action happens. The other kind is a universal type, which can be connected with either the normally-closed or the normally-open. In the practical engineering process, the NC or the general purpose solenoid valve is adopted.
1. Two-position three-port (3/2-way) normally-closed solenoid valve and the pneumatic thin-film control valve
Table 2 and Fig. 1 describe the basic usage of the pneumatic thin-film control valve when it participates in both functional regulation and safe interlocking. The two-position three-way (3/2-way) normally-closed solenoid valve has taken the safety concerns into consideration.
2. Two-position three-way (3/2-way) universal solenoid valve and the pneumatic thin-film control valve
Table 3 and Fig. 2 show the basic usage of the pneumatic thin-film control valve when it regulates the functions and participates in the safe interlocking. However, in order to ensure safety, the two-position three-way (3/2-way) universal solenoid valve is usually wired into the normally-closed state. In other words, when the solenoid valve is switched on, the solenoid valve outlet 3-2 are open.
3. 3-way 2-position universal solenoid valve and the pneumatic thin-film regulating valve
Table 4 and Fig. 3 describe the interlocking signals caused by receiving of different values (high and low) of the same processing parameter by two sets of solenoid valves (single-electronic-control spring resetting air cylinder). Meanwhile, the safety concerns are taken into consideration. The regulating valve can be used to occasions combining precision control and interlocking cutoff. However, the switch valve is applied to the simple on-off interlocking, such as the liquid control of the storage equipment and the interlocking cutoff.
4. 3/2-way normally-closed solenoid valve combined R2S and the pneumatic thin-film control valve
Table 5 and Fig. 4 present collaboration between the 3/2-way NC solenoid valve (single-electric-control spring resetting air cylinder) combined R2S trigger and pneumatic thin-film regulating valve. Under the prerequisite of safety, to replace the R2S trigger logic function with the solenoid valve has one advantage, that is, the wiring faults can be reduced, the cable and solenoid valve investment can be cut, and the instrument air consumption can be saved.
