Solenoid Valve Connection Type
The connection types of solenoid valves include subplate connection, threaded connection, manifold connection (valve island, manifold base) and flange connection.
Subplate connection
The ports of solenoid valves are designed on the same installation plane with connecting screw holes. This type of valve is called a subplate valve. For example, the solenoid reversing valve is mostly a subplate valve. The plate solenoid valve is fixed with a screw on a flat plate or a block connection with a corresponding oil port. The advantages of this connection type are that it is convenient to replace components without affecting the pipeline, and it is possible to centralize the valve arrangement.
Threaded connection
The threaded connection type of solenoid valve is to connect the threaded port of the solenoid valve to the pipeline, and fix it on the pipeline accordingly. This connection type is suitable for small flow rate and small diameter solenoid valves. Its advantages are simple connection, convenient layout, and the oil pipeline between valves in the system is clear at a glance. Its shortcomings are: scattered layout of components, large space occupied, staggered pipelines, numerous joints, and inconvenient for assembling, disassembling and maintenance.
Manifold (valve island, manifold base) connection
Manifold connection is a new connection mode based on subplate connection. It greatly simplifies the pipeline, greatly reduces the space occupied, and is easy to assemble and disassemble. It is especially suitable for complex pneumatic system.
The manifold connection is to install multiple solenoid valves or pneumatic valves on the connecting plate, which enables the valves installed on the plate to have a common air supply and exhaust pipeline, or a common air supply and individual exhaust pipeline.
Flange connection
It is connected with the flange at the end of the pipe through the screw hole on the valve body (there are mostly 4 screw holes per port). This valve is called flanged connection valve. It is suitable for large flow rate and large caliber pipeline system with diameter over 32mm.
