Solenoid Valve in Dry Granulation Machine
The basic operating principle of dry granulation is like this. Artificially add the material into the vessel, and use the PLC to control the solenoid valve and seal the vessel. Start the draught fan and blow in the wind to the vessel. Heating and filtering are required when wind is blown in. The wind blinds the materials to a boiling state. After the materials are boiled, the spray gun is used to spray sizing agent (mist spray) onto the materials. After spraying, the wind is continuously blown in to blow the materials dry.
1. Control the solenoid valve to move according to the logic.
The PLC output point controls the relay and the relay controls the solenoid valve. This can cope with damage of the PLC output points caused by wiring mistakes. Besides, after movement faults occur to the equipment, customers can easily tell causes of the faults and cope with the faults. For example, if there is a solenoid valve not acting, one should observe whether the corresponding relay light is on, and whether the contact is connected. If the relay is normal, it means the solenoid valve has problems. Based on conclusions, users can automatically change the solenoid valve to a new one. In this way, there is no need to have equipment manufacturers send personnel to cope with these problems, thus saving the cost.
2. Heater control and precise control of the incoming wind temperature
The inlet wind temperature should be controlled within ±0.5℃. Generally, there are two heating methods, namely electric heating and steam heating. The principle for these two heating methods is both controlling the heater, thus influencing the heat exchange between the heater and the air heat exchange. According to the value of the heating power, the electrical heating adopts the solid state relay and the controllable silicon phase shift trigger. The steam heating adopts the proportional valve to control the steam quantity entering the heater and control the heater’s temperature.
3. Sensor signal collection, storage and printing
In the production process, the inlet wind quantity, negative pressure value within the vessel and other signals should be collected. These signals are changed into the 4~20mA simulating signals via the sensor and then output to the 04AD module. The PLC reads the 04AD converted value and displays the computing results on the touch screen. After that, these signals can be stored on the touch screen. If there are a large number of storage data, they can be inserted into the USB and then the data can be stored on the USD. Or the macro instruction, GETHISTORY, can be collaborated with the printing function of the touch screen to print out the results.
4. In terms of the storage settings, the touch screen formula function can be used to facilitate realization.
5. As to how to control the draught fan frequency and the spray motor frequency, the VFD with RS485 communication interface can be conveniently connected with PLC. PLC can use the MODWR and MODRD instructions and VFD communications, which can modify the frequency converter on the touch screen, display its working state and control its opening and closing without extra elements. Moreover, PLC, solenoid valve, touch screen, frequency converter and other equipment can be used to control the dry granulation (pharmaceutical) equipment, achieving a simple line, high integration, convenient usage, low fault rate and low cost.
With the cooperation of PLC, solenoid valve, touch screen, VFD and other equipment to control the dry granulation machine, it makes the line simple, the integration high, the use convenient, the failure rate low, and the cost saved.
